Our Founder and Artistic Director Sugar Vendil will be speaking at SxSW! Event page here.

Sounding Style: Bridging Fashion & Classical Music
What do classical music and fashion have to do with each other, and why does it matter? Pianist and multidisciplinary artist Sugar Vendil will demonstrate how she has incorporated fashion into classical music concerts with her ensemble The Nouveau Classical Project, and discuss the stigma around fashion in classical music, its relationship to gender inequality, and how the seemingly disparate art forms not only can inform each other but are also intrinsically tied to one another.
